Thinking of a new wide format printer?

July 7th, 2022

Benefits:

Speed:

The ink dries and solidifies in seconds, minimizing the chance of distortion and significantly reducing the amount of time to complete a printing project.

Quality:

In addition to not being distorted by HEAT in drying, colors are more vibrant since the ink cures before it can soak into the media. With Mimaki UV Ink you can control the amount of gloss for the final output by adding clear ink.

Layered Printing: Mimaki UCJV300 can print up to FIVE-layers creating a two sided push/pull graphic on clear in ONE pass!

Durability:

UV-cured ink is water resistant and is also less likely to scratch or scuff. It’s resistant to fading and not prone to bleeding onto other substrates during handling and transport.  Based on bond to print media Mimaki UV will resist MOST chemical cleaners.

Odorless:

The ink-drying process doesn’t produce odors that can permeate your facility. Mimaki UV inks are greenguard gold certified low VOC.

Cost:

A more cost-effective process, UV printing involves LED lights rather than heat. These lights use little power and can last a long time, yielding substantial savings.

Mimaki UV Printers use 85% LESS power than HP Latex and DO NOT require special 220 power.

UV inks are more dense so less ink is used.  Depending on image specifics Mimaki inks can use up to 60% less ink.

Print/Cut:

The Mimaki UCJV can print and then contour cut images saving time and space loading media in another device.
