SALSA DYE LUX – transfer printing suggestions
Here are the starting parameters for processing the Salsa Dye Lux sample roll.
Transfer to non coated side which should be outside. Coated Side is slightly sticky to the touch.
Heat processing:
Do not use tissue backing paper
Start temperature at 190 degrees C and raise necessary to get the best color saturation.
Run speed at .5 and raise if necessary
Run 4psi
Test with 1” x 1’ strips along side of heat unit to verify no issue with sticking to belts
SALSA OPAQUE & FLASH BACKLIT– transfer printing suggestions.
Do not use a protection paper backing to guide fabric thru heat calendar press
(Salsa Opaque should not stick to the belt)
On Kleverick press, start at 180C and raise to get best color pop
Run between .4-6 psi
Run at 30-40 second dwell time (compared to 60 seconds for other fabric processing)
Test 1” x 1’ strips on edge of belt to confirm that there is no sticking
Should be less than 1% shrinkage
