One of the fastest growing trends in retail marketing is replaceable wall, end cap and counter graphics using magnetic receptive printable materials. You have the advantages of a rigid graphic without the cost of shipping and skilled installers to install a rigid graphic.

Simply explained, there are two ways to replace retail graphics using magnetic receptive printable media.

  1. Full Wall Applications

Full wall applications, you can paint the wall with a special ferrous primer (to help the magnet attract to the wall), then add 24” wide strips of Action Magnet (double sided magnet) by XCEL Products to the wall. This will be your base.  You can then print your new image on XMR™ Magnetic Receptive print media which is inserted into a tube and shipped to the store where store personnel can slide the graphic into place on the wall.

  1. End Cap Applications

For an end cap, counter and partial wall applications, you use a rigid substrate (typically sintra) as your base. Choose an Action Magnet™ by XCEL (24” hi energy for up to 3 layers, or 24” standard energy for up to 2 layers) with permanent adhesive. Using a laminator, apply the Action Magnet (with adhesive) to the sintra and now you have your base which would then be attached to the end cap, counter or partial wall application at the retail location. Now you can print on XMR™ magnetic receptive media which is inserted into a tube and shipped to the store where store personnel can slide the graphic into place on the wall.

The XMR™, magnetic receptive printable media is available for UV and eco solvent printers (XMR™ V 2.0) and there is also a heat resistant version for latex printers (XMR™ 3.0 LTX). XMR has a surface that will not scratch or chip and does not require a laminate for protection. Available in 54, 60 and 74 inch widths.
