Problem: Our Customer Service team was recently contacted by a customer who professionally installed window graphics, printed on a UV curable printer. The finished product came out excellent; however, a short time later, the client noticed that there were scratches in the film that seemed like they were in a circular motion. Through further research, it was found that the cleaning crew was using a very abrasive sponge when cleaning the surface and creating the scratches on the window film.
Solution: After finding out the source of the problem, Quality Media recommended that the customer use Lintec Digital Window Graphics™ (Wincos). We specifically recommended their line of scratch resistant window films designed for UV curable printers. The scratch resistant coating helped our customer create an impressive window display without the worry of blemishes created by normal cleaning of the window surface.
